'She's going to be a big player in the top staying races' - Oli Bell picks his Ten to Follow

I'm hoping Soul Sister can get my list off to a flying start as she's my idea of the Oaks winner. She looked a proper horse in the Musidora, which is a key Epsom trial, and I like her profile.

Of all the Derby trialists, Military Order impressed me the most at Lingfield. I loved what he did in the last 60 yards of that race – he extended again and had a lot up his sleeve – and I get the sense he's pretty good.

I'm also going to include fellow Derby contender Auguste Rodin in the hope Aidan O'Brien can work his magic. At the start of the season, I thought he would be a world-beater and I'm happy to put a line through his run in the 2,000 Guineas, as it was a messy race, and base my opinion on his two-year-old form.

I really like what Haskoy did on her first start of the season at Newbury. She's still learning her craft but she's getting better with every run and, given injury is going to keep Kyprios out for a while, I think she's going to be a big player in the top staying races.

Last year's Derby hero Desert Crown made a really encouraging return from injury in the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown, even though he was beaten, and I expect him to take a leading hand in the middle-distance Group 1s.

Tahiyra is going to be a popular pick. She was very good in winning the Irish 1,000 Guineas and is an incredibly talented filly.

Highfield Princess has to go in as she's Britain's best sprinter and I expect her campaign and results to be similar to last year.

Little Big Bear was back with a bang at Haydock and looks the dominant three-year-old sprinter, while I'm going to put in Vadream as Charlie Fellowes has done really well with her.

Finally, Hurricane Lane looked like the horse of old when winning at Newmarket last time and he completes my list.
