Course specialist Highland can secure further Epsom acclaim

Credit: Edward Whitaker

Newmarket: David Milnes

Revived (2.15 Ripon, nap)

Ran a decent first race when fifth to subsequent Lowther Stakes winner Threading at Goodwood. Michael Bell’s filly has since worked well on the peat moss gallop.

Carlisle 6.15 Sea Tide.

Lambourn: James Burn

Av A Word (4.50 Epsom, nap)

Has been in good form and the trip and decent ground should suit. Big run expected.

Others to follow
Epsom 3.45 Coral Sea, 5.20 Traveller.
Newton Abbot 7.35 Tangoed.

North: Colin Russell

Highland Acclaim (3.10 Epsom, nap)

Disappointing last time, but stable going well and he has a fine record over course and distance.

Others to follow
Carlisle 4.45 Debawtry, 5.15 Yes You, 5.45 Rossall, 6.15 Haroon, 6.45 Redrosezorro, 7.15 Penny Pot Lane, 7.45 Thorntoun Care.

West Country: Andrew King

Third Act (5.05 Newton Abbot, nap)

Has not looked the easiest to win with but things should go his way this time.

Others to follow
Newton Abbot 4.35 Wolftrap, 5.35 Watcombe Heights, 6.05 Alcala, 6.35 Aldrin, 7.05 Quick N’Easy, 7.35 Lilliput Lane.

Racing Post Ratings: Simon Turner

Oh It’s Saucepot(4.50 Epsom, nap)

Well placed to win two modest races recently but does look to be progressing. The extra furlong is likely to be within her compass and should go close if handling the track.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Highland Acclaim (3.10 Epsom)

Finished last at Doncaster ten days ago but won this race last year and is two from three over this course and distance.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Rainbow Jazz (2.00 Epsom)

Showed promise on first two starts before poor display last time on rain-softened ground. Can bounce back on a livelier surface with cheekpieces applied.

Ireland: Mark Boylan

Lilywhite Gesture (7.25 Ballinrobe)

Made a pleasing enough introduction to chasing at Tramore over 2m6f. This extra furlong should suit better and Davy Russell gets the leg-up on Gordon Elliott’s mare.
