BANKER

Ex Patriot(4.50 Leopardstown)

Proved himself an extremely talented hurdler since moving to Ellmarie Holden's Kilkenny yard from Ger Lyons at the end of 2016 and looks well handicapped on his return to the Flat. He's allowed to creep into the bottom of this handicap off a mark of 78 – 65lb lower than his hurdles mark – and gets the services of Declan McDonogh. He was only beaten four lengths at the start of the month in a Group 3 hurdle behind Jezki and should win this. (Tom Collins)

EYECATCHER

Frontiersman(2.15 Newbury)

Considering that he looked a slightly unfortunate second in Epsom's Group 1 Coronation Cup in June, it's surprising that Frontiersman has yet to succeed in pattern company. He was a beaten favourite in this race last year but there's no doubt that he has improved significantly since. It's fair to say he isn't the easiest of rides but first-time blinkers did the trick when scoring in Listed company at Newmarket last month and the headgear can work it's magic again back in a Group 3. (Kevin Morley)

STAT ATTACK

Walsingham Grange (5.05 Newbury)

Began 2017 with a win over hurdles and there was plenty to like about his return from over five months off when fourth at Pontefract last time, his first Flat start of the year. That should have put him spot on for this lady amateur riders' contest and Gina Andrews shows a healthy £29.48 profit from nine winners over jumps for Pam Sly in the last five seasons and is 2-5 for her on the Flat since the beginning of 2013. (Andrew Cooper)
