Sandown Placepot picks: Paul Kealy provides his perm for a decent card

is hard to leave out of the Sandown Placepot despite doubts about the ground, but the opening leg (2.20) is probably not one to bank on.

didn't beat much at the track last time, but did so with tons in hand and is reported to be heading for the Molecomb at Goodwood, so he looks the obvious one to include.

I thought the next (2.55) would be all about Morando, but he's out with a minor injury, so I'll go with and as I half fancy the going will remain a bit sticky for Mildenberger and Withhold.

There might be some decent newcomers in the next (3.30), but I'll go with the experience of and .

The former took time to get organised in the straight here on his debut, but was well on top at the line and could be useful, while Oh Great was also green on his Doncaster debut, but looked promising when he got the message late on. By Ribchester, he looks like he'll be okay on the ground.

In the next (4.05), has a penalty to deal with, but he doesn't have much to fear from most of his rivals and he has far less potential to blow out than the Derby ninth John Leeper.

In leg five (4.40) can be banked on after running a near career best when just failing to get up at Chester last time. That was on fast ground, but he's said to prefer it much slower (has won on soft and heavy) and he shapes as if he'll stay well.

The closing leg (5.10) is for female amateurs and looks wide open. The two who strike me as the most likely to cope with the conditions are and .
