Paul Kealy provides his Tote Placepot perm at Sandown

Credit: Alan Crowhurst

It's off to Sandown for Friday's Placepot punting even though places will be at a premium.

Assuming there are no non-runners on what will be quickening ground, there are three places on offer in the first (12.35) and should bag one of them.

He showed plenty of pace when sixth of 11 on his debut at Newbury last month (second, fourth and fifth all won next time), and should have no trouble dropping in trip.

Favourite Politics is the obvious danger, but he was keen enough when hooded on debut at Pontefract and the hood is discarded here.

In the next (1.10) I'd expect , another who comes from a novice working out well, to bag one of the two places, with Perotto the obvious candidate for the other.

The next (1.45) is tricky as most of the seven runners are in good form and you wouldn't rule out a big run from outsider Minhaaj, who didn't have things go her way last time.

The more obvious plays though are , who keeps running well and will like this stiff 5f, and recent course winner .

In the maiden (2.20) has shown enough to suggest he can make the three again, while newcomer is closely related to the top-class Sea Of Class and a fascinating contender.

In the fifth leg (2.55) I'll oppose hot favourite Mon Choix and go with the other three-year-olds and , while in the last Star Of Wins(3.30), who is improving with every run, and , who ran well on all four starts for Mark Johnston at two and is now with Ian Williams (same owner) would be my two in a tricky five-runner contest.
