BANKER

Golden Birthday (4.15 Leicester)

Harry Fry's 147-rated hurdler makes his first start on the Flat in this 1m4f maiden contest, ridden by Fran Berry. Winner of three of his last four starts over hurdles, including a ten-length romp in a competitive Class 2 handicap at Newton Abbot last time out when he really took the eye as a handicapper to follow on good ground, he looks almost certain to make a winning start on the level before heading back over hurdles.

STAT ATTACK

Seeking Magic (4.35 Kempton)

Clive Cox's nine-year-old has won six times from 53 career starts, but he has form figures of 13313 on the all-weather at Kempton, including when winning this race two years ago by a head under Ryan Tate. It took him 17 runs to get off the mark again – when scoring at Nottingham in July – but he has been given a break of over a month since his last run, creeps into the bottom of the race off a mark of 89 and has a perfect draw in stall one.
