Signposts: Gunmaker looks all set to hit the target for Simcock

Credit: Harry Trump

Mick Channon and Silvestre de Sousa have individual strike-rates of nine and ten per cent respectively at Goodwood. That increases to 30 per cent when they combine. They do so with Milton Road in the 4.15.

David Simcock has a 16 per cent strike-rate with horses on their handicap debut. Backing those runners would have yielded a healthy £17.73 level stake profit. Gunmaker makes his first start in
handicap company in the 5.20 at Goodwood.
