Looked the real deal when hacking up by seven lengths in a 23-runner maiden hurdle on debut at Navan this time last year and wasn't beaten too far by Andy Dufresne after jumping poorly in the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer a month later. Looked to be travelling as well as anything when being brought down in the Supreme in March, though it would have taken a big performance to have denied Shishkin. Clearly wasn't right (vet reported he was clinically abnormal post race) on his reappearance in October and providing he is back sound, Captain Guinness should prove extremely hard to beat.
