Purchased for €105,000 as a yearling, Wild Thunder returned a winner on debut at Goodwood in May 2019 for former trainer Richard Hannon and was talked about as a Group-class juvenile. He went to the Group 2 Superlative Stakes on his second run but didn't take the necessary jump forward and has been largely disappointing since. Mick and David Easterby picked up Wild Thunder from the horses-in-training sales in October and gelded him. He hasn't troubled the judge in three runs but now looks well-handicapped off a mark of 70 and should be helped by the return to a mile.
