Richard Birch provides his selections for Fakenham's Placepot

Sawpit Sienna, the only course winner in leg one (12.55) of the Fakenham Placepot, looks a good starting point. Frisco Bay, who ran into the well-handicapped Zhiguli at Huntingdon last time, should also be included.

Dundrum Wood has valuable experience of this unique track, and he looked on excellent terms with himself when getting off the mark over fences at Newcastle in first-time cheekpieces last month. The headgear is retained and punters are advised to select him for leg two (1.25) along with the nicely treated Quick Pick, who could find 2m5f on testing ground ideal.

Another horse at the right end of the weights, Virginia Chick, appeals for leg three (1.55), with probable pacesetter Young Offender also worth including.

Leg four (2.25) is tricky despite the small field. Lithic is notoriously difficult to win with but possesses the strongest recent form of the quartet.

In a race which could conceivably fall apart, Jonjo O'Neill's charge might find himself in pole position to end a 23-run losing spell. Minella Encore is the other of the four to focus on.

Ahorsewithnoname stands out in leg five (2.55), while an attacking ride from the front by Adam Wedge could see stamina-packed Sabbathical open his account over fences in leg six (3.25).
