Nap of the day: free horse racing tips for Friday's seven meetings

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Cartmel

4.10: ELLAAT

This looks good for Ellaat (nap) who was back on song when winning over 1m4f on the Flat at Fairyhouse recently and should be open to some improvement back over hurdles. Recent course and distance selling winner Oakmont may be next best, ahead of Sea Prince
Jeremy Grayson

Chester

7.05: BABINDI

The William Haggas-trained Babindi (nap) has run really well when runner-up the last twice and this three-year-old is taken to get off the mark today. Bollin Margaret arrives on a hat-trick and is second choice ahead of Basilicata, who has the Chester positives of stall one and Franny Norton.

Curragh

6.00: SEA DUCOR

Joseph O'Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle teamed up to land this last year and the combination have Powerful Kieran who sneaks in at the bottom of the weights with claims this time around. Aurora Princess and Loingseoir are both respected in their hat-trick bids while Shamad posted his best effort for some time latest. However, Sea Ducor (nap) could have plenty in hand from this sort of mark judged on what he's achieved over hurdles since he was last seen in this sphere and jockey Joey Sheridan is notable booking in a race of this nature.
Phill Anderson

Doncaster

4.35: FLEURMAN

Monbaher showed improved form over 1m4f here last time and should go close if the headgear works as well again. However, he's taken on with Fleurman (nap), who also showed a good chunk of improvement on his handicap debut and he's likely to relish this longer trip.
Richard Young

Newcastle

7.55: MOSTAQQER

Tom Marquand is a positive booking for Mostaqqer (nap), who was in good form in the spring and can raise his game further after a short break. Heading the list of dangers is his fellow topweight Sharpcliff, while Forus and Beyond Infinity, first and second at Wolverhampton recently, should be involved in the shake-up again. Jupiter Road seems to be running into form and is another to consider.
Richard O'Brien

Newmarket

8.35: MASHHOOR

The vote goes to bottom-weight Mashhoor (nap), who is the sole three-year-old in the field and looks open to plenty of further progress. Last week's Lingfield winner Passion And Glory is feared most, ahead of Zetland Gold Cup contestants Good Birthday and Balgair.
Steve Boow

Yarmouth

2.35: SENECA CHIEF

Low mileage for his age, having missed well over two years, Seneca Chief (nap) ran right up to his best back from seven months off at Sandown recently and makes most appeal off the same mark. Kingsholm, who showed he can do it over this trip on the all-weather last autumn, is an obvious danger, having also run close to his best on his recent comeback.
