Nap of the day: best horse racing tips from the day's five meetings

Tuesday best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bangor

3.23: Not At Present

The lightly raced 6yo Not A Present has shown improved form since these cheekpieces went on and he can add to August's victory at Worcester. Hillview displayed a good attitude to win over C&D last time and could be the chief danger, with Champagne Noir and Rare Clouds others to consider.
Ben Hutton

Catterick

3.15: Redrosezorro

A number of these could lay claim to being best round what's always been a specialists' course, none more so than Redrosezorro, who's looking for a seventh win here after coming back to form when runner-up off a sliding mark ten days ago. Dual C&D winner Queen's Sargent and three-time 6f winner here Jill Rose, who's best at this time of year, are others to consider.
Graham Wheldon

Chepstow

3.05: Samtara

Given his ability on the Flat, maiden hurdle winner Moon King could be on a good mark for today's handicap hurdle debut. However, Samtara probably posted a new career-best effort when second to a French import at Worcester last month and, with today's longer trip also suitable, he gets the nod. Silver In Disguise took very well to chasing in February and it will be interesting to see how he fares back hurdling over a new trip.
Chris Wilson

Newcastle

4.35: Tommy R

Puckle would have to go close if seeing out the longer trip, with the return to this surface not an issue, but preference is for Tommy R who was returning from a break when fourth in a better race over C&D a fortnight ago. Sophosc ran well last time, but there is a slight question over his stamina on this stiffer track, so Star Dreamer may prove best of the others.
David Bellingham

Curragh

1.45: Purple Dawn

From a stable that is doing really well with its juveniles, Purple Dawn gets the vote to build on his AW maiden win on Friday. Softer ground is a slight concern but his rider's 7lb claim is a steal. Cyclamen looks the best of the Ballydoyle pair and Brown Eagle and Shaky Operator are of interest on handicap debut.
