Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ludlow

2.00: Switch Hitter

This can go to dual hurdle winner Switch Hitter (nap), who raised his form to a new level when scoring on his chase/seasonal debut at Hereford and is only 2lb higher than for that brave success. The main danger is Outonpatrol, who has a record of 2-2 at this track and was good front-running second behind the selection last month. Third choice is the generally reliable Forgot To Ask, who has finished runner-up in Class 3 handicaps in his last two runs.
David Moon

Musselburgh

2.45: Upandatit

The lightly raced six-year-old Upandatit(nap) was sent straight over fences for his handicap debut and displayed improved form when keeping on for a good third over 2m4f at Ayr. Today's step up in trip looks the right move and this should be a good opportunity. Raecius Felix arrives in good form but is unproven at the trip and perhaps the chief threat will come from Magna Sam, who made an encouraging stable debut for Sophie Leech last time.
Ben Hutton

Wolverhampton

6.30: Elhafei

Reset Button can go well at the foot of the weights, while solid efforts from Beat The Breeze, Victory Star, Percy Willis, Gold Standard and Baileys Warrior should all be forthcoming. Elhafei(nap) was flourishing on turf when last seen though and he can take full advantage of his much lower AW mark on his return from a summer break.
