Alyara took full advantage of the drop into Class 6 company at Ffos Las last week and she is well in under her 5lb penalty. Whether she can get the better of Adelisa (nap) remains to be seen, with the ex-Irish filly having rediscovered her form with a vengeance this summer. Although she was beaten at Wolverhampton last time, it was still a fine effort and she can make light of top weight now returned to turf.

7.55: Fire Lake

There could still be more to come from Fire Lake(nap), who made a winning handicap debut at Newton Abbot last month and now bids to complete a hat-trick. Andapa will be a tough nut to crack off her current mark if back in peak form and is feared most, although Saywhatyouwant ought to cope well if the ground ends up slower than good.

5.35: Panama Red

Having had three early-season runs Panama Red (nap) returned to her best when going close here last month. She can go one better now, perhaps at the main expense of last season's third Charterhouse, a C&D winner who performed creditably in a Group 3 race at Leopardstown last week. Another C&D winner deserving of respect is Emphatic Answer, the pick of three runners for Joseph O'Brien. Show Of Stars also makes some appeal.

7.15: Shimmering Sands

A small field but there should be a fair gallop. Shimmering Sands (nap) should have plenty going for him back in a less exacting race after taking on a big improver at Doncaster last month which followed an impressive Beverley win. Craft In Silk hung on tenaciously after making the running at Yarmouth and may be next best, although King Of The Kippax was suited by this stiff 1m2f earlier in the year and the return to this track can suit him. Sylvia Beach is preferred of the remainder.

2.40: La Domaniale

Jonjo O'Neill's progressive mare La Domaniale(nap) comes here after a very creditable second in last month's Summer Plate at Market Rasen and can cope with today's 5lb higher mark. Larch Hill runs this track very well and is feared most but De Barley Basket can also go well, assuming his breathing issues have been resolved.

5.20: Queen Aminatu

Three-year-olds have won eight of the last 11 runnings and Queen Aminatu(nap) looks very much the one to beat this time. She was unlucky not to bag a Sunday Series race at Haydock 11 days ago and can gain ample compensation off the same mark. If Espressoo can repeat her C&D form from the spring she may prove the main threat, while the lightly raced pair Bellosa and Mobadra could be the pick of the older brigade.
