Lingfield Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway has a small perm for the evening card

I’ve got a few fancies for the evening card at Lingfield, so let’s play the Placepot.

Gavlar has got some decent all-weather form and could go well in the 2m handicap (5.30) under Tom Marquand. Nottingham winner Givepeaceachance is the more solid option.

The 6f handicap (6.00) looks tricky. Iesha was a good second over this trip at Chelmsford two starts ago and can bounce back from a poor run over 7f last time. Perfect Dream is next best.

River Dawn won nicely at Windsor in May and can’t have been right when well beaten at Chelmsford last time. He handles Polytrack and is worth another chance after a short break in the mile handicap (6.30).

Gosnay Gold is one of the bets of the day and rates banker material in the 7f handicap (7.00).

Adaay In Asia won over course and distance in June and was beaten only two and a quarter lengths in seventh in Newbury’s Super Sprint last time. She should win the 6f novice (7.30).

Sognatore has run two good races from the front on turf at this track on his last two outings and handles the all-weather. He is taken in the 1m2f handicap (8.00), along with Anniemation.
