Leicester Placepot picks: Richard Birch with his advice for the jumps card

Harry Fry has had 12 of his last 19 runners in top-three finishes, so it makes sense to focus on White Hart Lady in the mares' handicap hurdle (1.20), the opening leg of the Leicester Placepot.

Scattercash, a point winner who graduates to handicaps on a mark of 84 and is equipped with cheekpieces for the first time, is also included.

The novice handicap chase (1.50) appears fiendishly competitive, but low-weighted Harry Hazard is more likely than most to run his race.

Eairsidh, heavily backed ahead of his latest start, performed quite dismally, but he's surely better than that and a first use of a tongue-tie may help.

Bold Soldier and Extraordinary Man appeal in the novice hurdle (2.20), while Walk In Clover stands out on her first run for Dan Skelton in the mares' novice hurdle (2.50).

Zuckerberg's recent form suggests he will go close in the 2m7f handicap chase (3.20), and Skelton's Tokey Dokey, an impressive winner at Market Rasen on Boxing Day, can make light of a subsequent 11lb rise in the novice handicap chase (3.50).

His previous Warwick second to Brave Seasca reads well and there should be further improvement to come.
