The following leg (1.45) is wide open but I'll side with Timbukone, who has been knocking on the door lately and can progress past Head Chef on his third run of the season off 2lb better terms.

Phoenix Beach is selected to go close in the 5f novice (2.15) having improved significantly from a moderate debut effort to run a good third to the useful Tothenines at Ripon this month.

The feature handicap (2.45) has a vulnerable favourite in Ghaly, who returns from 662 days off. I'll side with Fame And Acclaim, who is only up 1lb for his last-time-out victory and the out-of-form Austrian Theory, who is extremely well treated if bouncing back.

Madame Ambassador is out of a German Group 1 winner for the same connections and is taken to earn a first victory in the 1m4f handicap (3.15).

The final leg (3.50) looks a fair opportunity for Ballyconneely Bay, who runs for the second time after wind surgery and has slipped to a winnable mark.
