Glorious Goodwood Placepot tips: Paul Kealy provides his final-day perm
It's a good job there's at least one banker on the Goodwood card as getting through the Placepot is going to be hard with two 28-runner sprint handicaps.
is the one who should carry most of what's left in the pot through leg four (3.05), but otherwise it's really tricky.
In the opener (1.55) I like the chances of , who has the best of the draw in stall one and has won two of his four starts this term, showing a good turn of foot in the process.
This easy 7f with a little bit of give looks just about perfect for him, while also looks ahead of his mark and goes in too.
The Stewards' Cup consolation (1.55) is up next, and the three-year-old , who would have been favourite for the big one, is hard to leave out.
He goes in with , who finally showed what he was capable of last time at Ascot and is drawn on the other side.
The next (2.30) is a tough heat, too, but ran a fine race against a well-handicapped rival at Sandown last time and is the first on my list.
I'll add , whose second here to Hukum in May has worked out incredibly well and whose trainer Alan King has already had two winners at the meeting.
Even that might not be enough, so the super-consistent makes it three.
My three for the Stewards' (3.40) are , and , while in the maiden (4.10) I'll go with the two Group 2 Champagne Stakes entries and , the latter being the one with the best form from those to have already run.
