Beverley Placepot picks: Richard Birch provides his Tuesday afternoon perm

Silky Wilkie, with form figures of 2222 and an excellent draw in stall four to work from, rates as a banker in the 5f novice stakes (1.20).

Golden War and Rich King, two lightly raced juveniles who have plenty more to offer, look the pair to focus on in the 7f novice (1.55), while La Rav returned to his best form over course and distance at the end of August and makes considerable punting appeal in the 7f handicap (2.25).

Group 1 winner Brando holds a significant class edge over Tarboosh in the 5f conditions stakes (3.00), but it is a concern that he bled three outings ago at Newcastle and is more effective at 6f. The latter, winner of this race in 2019, is no forlorn hope despite the 12lb difference on official ratings.

Guilded, beaten less than two lengths in a Longchamp Group 3 last time, should make short work of her rivals in the 5f fillies' novice (3.35) and finally Captain Corelli, a smooth Carlisle scorer this month, can follow up off a 5lb higher mark in the mile handicap (4.10).
