The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

BANKER

Shine Baby Shine (7.20 Southwell)

Recent form figures over jumps of P5PP will put plenty of punters off but Shine Baby Shine had excuses on her last two starts in this sphere, while the fifth wasn't as bad a run as it looks on paper (badly hampered). Her mark has been dropped 12lb since the first of those four efforts and based on her novice form, she is certainly handicapped to win a poor race of this nature. The trip isn't a problem (stays 2m on the Flat) and she seemed to have improved recently when finishing a good second on the Fibresand here on her first start since a wind op, which could be the making of her. The forecast 7-1 is well worth taking.

EYECATCHER

Maybe Today (3.20 Epsom)

Four-year-olds have won six of the last eight editions of this 1m4f handicap and the market is unsurprisingly set to be dominated by a couple of horses from that age group, with Maybe Today rating the value bet of the duo. A two-time winner from eight starts, Simon Crisford's filly hasn't looked the easiest ride in the past and often takes some cajoling to get into her stride, but she reacted well to a first-time visor when winning at Lingfield last time out and having gone up just 4lb for the victory, she looks well treated to follow up. Silvestre De Sousa is 19-72 (26 per cent strike-rate) on Crisford-trained runners.
