The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Thursday

EYECATCHER

Rich Approach(4.55 Newcastle)

Unexposed three-year-old who showed little in three novice starts before being gelded in late September. That, and the move to handicapping, seems to have worked the trick as he's proved a different horse on his last two starts, winning well at Wolverhampton before finishing third at this course last time out. He was too keen early to do himself justice that day but if he settles this time around – he should do with a couple of rivals that like to go forward in the field – he will be finishing out this 7f trip strongly.

DARK HORSE

Skellig Rocks(3.35 Wincanton)

Former Arthur Moore-trained gelding who is winless in 21 starts, which doesn't exactly scream surefire winner! However, it didn't look like he stayed the near-3m trips he was campaigned over in Ireland and rates a well-handicapped sort on some of his better pieces of form. He would have needed the run when making his stable debut in November, but travelled and jumped well until the homebend that day and the handicapper was very generous in dropping him 5lb. He can go well at a price.
