The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Saturday

BANKER

Downtown Getaway(4.05 Ascot)

This novice hurdle was won by the smart Vinndication (unbeaten in six starts) last year with Nicky Henderson's Champ, who is favourite for the Ballymore at the Cheltenham Festival, a narrow second and the Lambourn trainer may make amends 12 months on as he's entered the exciting Downtown Getaway. This impressive six-year-old travelled like a dream on his stable debut at Newbury last month when a terrible mistake three out cost him the contest. It looked a smart race at the time and this is probably easier. I fully expect him to regain the winning thread.

EYECATCHER

(2.15 Taunton)

Quite a prolific scorer with 14 victories from 57 starts and absolutely loves it here at Taunton, where he has form figures of 411. Both those victories came at the start of 2018, so this is his time of year, and he looks reasonably treated off a mark of 143. He showed signs of returning back to form when a game three-length second last time out and is partnered by the flying Rex Dingle (55 per cent strike-rate in the last two weeks).

EACH-WAY PLAY

Cyrname (3.00 Ascot)

Trainer Paul Nicholls won this race in 2014 and 2015 and relies on Cyrname this time around. Still an unexposed horse who we potentially haven't seen the best of yet, Cyrname was in fine form this time last year when winning three times, including twice around Kempton. He ran a nice race on his reappearance in November, didn't appreciate the drop down to 2m1f last time out and has been freshened up since. I expect him to go well at double-figure odds.
