Sweetspots: Uttoxeter specialist Ralph can score with Comber Mill
Alastair Ralph is the top course trainer at Uttoxeter with five winners from 11 runners – a 45 per cent strike-rate. The Shropshire trainer is represented by six-year-old gelding Comber Mill in the 5.25.
Rebecca Bastiman and Daniel Tudhope have individual strike-rates of 15 and 21 per cent at Hamilton. That improves to 43 per cent when they combine, and they do so with Wensley in the 2.00 and Edgar Allan Poe in the 2.30.

Chris Gordon’s horses are worth following on their handicap debuts. The Hampshire trainer is three from 16 with such runners, a 19 per cent strike-rate, and backing all to a £1 level-stake returns a profit of £18.00. King Cnut fits the criteria in the 5.00 at Plumpton.
