Saturday's free racing tips: our experts share their advice for today's meetings

Handicappers' nap

Double Kodiac (2.50 Doncaster)

Showed improved, solid form at the Craven meeting but escaped a rise in the weights. Will be hard to beat if able to reproduce that effort after a break.
Simon Turner

Newmarket nap

Mutafawwig (2.15 Doncaster)

Any rain that falls on Town Moor will help this son of Oasis Dream on his debut for Saeed Bin Suroor. The three-year-old has worked well on the watered gallop of late.
David Milnes

Eyecatcher

Adonijah (4.10 Newbury)

St Leger entry who made a highly encouraging debut against a pair who had already shown plenty ability. This race looks a formality on that evidence.

Our analysts from Raceform find eyecatchers at all meetings in the UK and Ireland, every day. Essential subscribers can read their expert view on every race

Ace tipster

Glorious Journey (3.35 Newbury)

Remains unexposed at this sort of trip and showed bags of speed in the July Cup last time. Would suit a tactical race in the mud.
Keith Melrose

Irish angle

Elegant Drama (3.45 Cork)

Has been dropped 2lb by the handicapper despite running really well in defeat at Galway, where encountered little luck-in-running along the way.
Richard Forristal

Speed figures

Juan Elcano (1.50 Newbury)

Made a winning bow on testing ground at Haydock and was a fine second in the Superlative at Newmarket last month. Sets the benchmark on the clock and is the one to beat.
Dave Edwards

Spotlights nap

Dakota Gold (3.15 Ripon)

His talent has never been in question but he has not won quite as often as might have been expected. Did best of the low-drawn runners when second to Gunmetal in this race in 2018 and returns here on the back of a game win at York in July.
Paul Smith

Dark horse

Flaming Spear (3.35 Newbury)

In need of the run last time out having been off since November and will improve from that. Will like the ground and should come with his usual late burst to cut through his rivals.
Sam Hardy

Must-have stat of the day

Kevin Stott is 8-34 (24 per cent strike-rate) when riding in Ripon handicaps over the last three seasons, for an impressive £1 level-stakes profit of +£45.75. He's 5-19 when riding for Ralph Beckett and he rides Philonikia for that trainer at 4.55.
