Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, form with two-year-old newcomers . . .

Trainer form

Astonished
6.25 Kempton
Angle: James Tate has a 29 per cent strike-rate in the last fortnight.

Prior to the start of today's racing, ten of James Tate's runners in the last two weeks have finished fourth or better, with four of the last ten winning.

His sole runner at Kempton is Astonished, who wears a hood for the first time on her handicap debut. The Sea The Stars filly has been kept exclusively to a mile and won here on debut, but she probably did too much too soon in Listed company at this track last month from a wide draw.

Back in calmer waters and from a better draw, she should go well.

Ratings

Henrietta Bell
7.15 Southwell
Angle: A couple of pounds clear of main rival on Racing Post Ratings after good hurdling debut

Henrietta Bell's debut over hurdles at Market Rasen 12 days ago was full of promise and the six-year-old mare leads on Racing Post Ratings by 2lbs from main market rival Giving Back, with the pair comfortably clear of the rest.

The selection runs for Harry Whittington, who has a 26 per cent strike-rate here, while Giving Back was highly tried in bumpers but disappointed on her hurdling debut, finishing third at Exeter despite being sent off favourite.

Wild card

Sneaky
7.25 Kempton
Angle: Archie Watson is 3-11 with two-year-old newcomers at Kempton

Archie Watson has a tremendous strike-rate of 22 per cent with two-year-old newcomers and his success rate increases slightly at this course, up to 27 per cent.

The Lambourn trainer is also a remarkable 8-10 with two-year-olds on the all-weather this spring and bids to improve on that statistic with Sneaky, a daughter of Charm Spirit running in the colours of Qatar Racing.
