Graeme Rodway reckons he can land the Placepot at Ayr

Credit: Edward Whitaker

There’s not a lot of form to go on in the opener (12.40) but Orientor’s progeny handle cut so it’s worth taking a chance on debutant Wrecked It Ralph. Captain Magnum is more solid.

In the 1.10, Star Cracker has won at Ayr on soft ground and Macs Blessings recorded his highest Racing Post Rating on heavy. They should see us through with only two places.

Muscika appeared to be coming back to form when second at Doncaster last week and handles any ground. He looks banker material in the 6f handicap at 1.40.

The 2.15 could prove tactical with only three lining up and you see so many strange results in small fields like this. Don’t take any chances and put them all in. You need the winner.

Clay Regazzoni revels in testing ground and must be included in the 7f handicap (2.45). Three Coins has some solid form and should have no problem with conditions.

Somewhere Secret is one of the bets of the day in the final leg (3.15), but nobody likes going out in the last so take some insurance with See My Baby Jive.
