Graeme Rodway has a Placepot perm for Monday's evening card at Windsor

Credit: Edward Whitaker

The tricky races in the Placepot at Windsor come early so let’s take no chances and go with the experience of Alone Time and Rania to overcome their wide draws in the opener (4.30).

Just two places are on offer in the 6f fillies’ handicap (5.00), so we will need two again. Andrea Atzeni catches the eye riding Dream Kart for Mark Johnston, while Theotherside has a good draw in stall two and must also be included.

The three-year-olds receive 8lb weight-for-age from their elders in the mile handicap (5.30) and Kodiellen also gets Thore Hammer Hansen’s 5lb claim. That could prove invaluable. Ascraeus makes plenty of appeal as a back up with Oisin Murphy booked.

Richard Hannon’s juveniles at Windsor are always worth noting and Grande Rumore is a leading form contender in division one the mile maiden (6.00). Arabic Charm is the potential improver in the race.

The bankers come in the last two races of the bet. King’s Knight is fancied to build on a promising debut at the track last time by landing division two of the mile maiden (6.30) and Free Love looks one of the bets of the night in the 5f handicap (7.00).
