The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Friday

BANKER

(3.50 Wolverhampton)

Beaten absolutely miles in each of his three novice runs over trips around a mile, but was well fancied when badly hampered on handicap debut at Lingfield in June and lost all chance in the process. He probably wouldn't have won that day but would have been a lot closer than eighth, and duly got off the mark on his next start when fitted with first-time blinkers over this course and distance. He travelled well that day, picked up nicely when put under pressure and looked a horse well ahead of his mark. He's only been raised 6lb for the win, this looks no tougher and his draw in stall one can only help.

GOOD THING

Love To Breeze(7.10 Newmarket)

Although she's likely to be short in the market, Love To Breeze fully deserves to be and I'd be shocked if she didn't get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. Much like Lexington Empire, Ed Vaughan's Love To Breeze stepped up on three runs in novice company over inadequate trips to finish a battling second at Goodwood when last seen in mid June over 1m4f. She caught the eye that day and the form has taken a huge boost since as the winner, Maid Up, who competed off a mark of 76, is now rated 29lb higher after finishing a short-head second in Group 2 company. Love To Breeze was only half a length behind her that day (seven lengths clear of the third) and she should be able to land a handicap off a mark of 69.
