Sweetspots: First-time hood can bring Hyperfocus back to form

Hugo Palmer has a 37 per cent strike-rate when he fits a first-time hood on his runners. Hyperfocus (8.15 Newmarket), who needs to improve on his recent starts, wears the headgear for the first time.

Richard Hannon does well when dropping his horses into selling company for the first time (56 per cent). Be Proud (6.00 Newmarket) will look to enhance this record further. The colt has shown very little so far but the drop in class could help.

Rae Guest and David Probert have an excellent 60 per cent strike-rate when they team up at Brighton and they combine with Kachumba (4.30). The filly has been in good form this season with three wins to her name, including two over this course and distance.
