Jeff Winther fired an eight-under-par 62 to set the early pace in the Mallorca Open - the ante-post 80-1 chance shortening to 9-1.

Winther made ten birdies and the European Tour maiden tees off at 12.30pm UK and Ireland time in his second round. The 33-year-old Dane has never even won on the Challenge Tour and resides just outside of the top 300 in the world rankings.

Overnight rain - and further wet stuff throughout Friday - is set to drench the Santa Ponsa layout. The power-packed Fox, who finished fourth in the Andalucia Masters last week, should relish the Fox was beaten by his Spanish playing partners in round one, but the New Zealander is a fair price to take his revenge.
