Hertha Berlin can bounce back from a 2-1 loss at fourth-from-bottom Stuttgart with a home victory over fifth-from-bottom Augsburg.

Saturday's reverse in Stuttgart was only a third in 12 league and cup outings for Hertha, who have been turned over only once on home turf this term and began the month with a cosy win at bottom club Hannover and then beat highflying Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0.

Earlier in the campaign, the Bundesliga's Old Lady beat Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich at the Olympic Stadium.

Augsburg stopped the rot of four straight defeats with their 1-1 draw at home to Schalke on Saturday. However, Schalke are also struggling in the league this term and their Champions League exertions may be taking a toll.

Augsburg drew 1-1 at Bayern in September but the point looks an exception compared to other performances on their travels. Their two road league wins, out of eight, have come at fellow strugglers Hannover and Fortuna Dusseldorf and while they lost 4-3 at Borussia Dortmund, the leaders may well have been complacent.

Hertha won't take victory for granted with Marko Grujic sidelined and Salomon Kalou among a number of players needing to pass fitness tests.
