Annan have left it too late to mount a challenge in Ladbrokes League Two, but their recent form is impressive and they should be too strong for Stirling.

Peter Murphy's side are particularly powerful at their Galabank home - they have won seven of their last eight games there and drawn the other.

Last week they demolished Berwick 6-0 and they are playing with a huge amount of confidence.

Stirling visit this week with little to play for. Their season is effectively over in mid-table obscurity and they have a number of injuries as well as defensive issues.

Annan have defeated highflying Peterhead and Edinburgh at home recently and are ending the season in fine form.

In the same division, Clyde can win at Edinburgh and overtake the capital club to move into second place.

The loss of four points for fielding an ineligible player, which they are appealing against, has put paid to their hopes of catching Peterhead at the top. But they have been the form team in the league in 2019 with only one defeat in their last eight games.

There have been recent signs that Edinburgh have run out of gas. A 4-1 thumping last week at Cowdenbeath, who have nothing to play for, was a shocker and they also lost at Clyde last month.

Anything over 2-1 looks a fair price for the Bully Wee, who look good value to get the points at Ainslie Park.

The relegation battle in the Ladbrokes Championship is heating up with half the league involved and Alloa look overpriced to get the better of fellow strugglers Queen of the South.

Jim Goodwin could arguably be a candidate for manager of the year if he can guide part-time Alloa to safety.

They have hit form at the right time with three successive wins against champions-elect Ross County, Falkirk and Morton.

The Dumfries outfit were hit with a hammer blow this week when star striker Stephen Dobbie, who has scored 21 of their 39 league goals, suffered a hamstring injury in their midweek loss at Ayr.

Alloa are the outsiders but they look full of confidence for the visit of fragile Queen's.
