Windsor Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway gives his perm for the evening fixture

Two of my four best bets run at Windsor, so let’s stick with there for the Placepot perm.

The opening 1m3½f apprentice handicap (5.25) looks a tricky start. Steel An Icon is in good form and must be included along with Suns Up Guns Up, who has form at this course.

The winner will be needed in the 5f novice (6.00) and Canonized is the most likely to come home in front. However, it’s worth taking out some insurance by including Dark Tulip too.

Clashaniska looks one of the best bets of the day in the 6f handicap (6.30), but it’s an ultra-competitive race. Storm Melody acts on quick ground and is the best alternative.

Alphonse Karr has a big chance in the following 6f handicap (7.00) and rates banker material.

Edraak should go well for Tom Marquand and Mick Appleby in the next 6f handicap (7.30), but it’s also worth including the well-drawn Indian Creak, who should run into a place.

The mile handicap at 8.00 is the last leg. Strawberry Jack has some solid efforts on good to firm ground and should be in the mix, while Kondratiev Wave is the other in-form runner.
