Sovereign looks a vulnerable favourite at the head of the Irish St Leger market and I'm keen to take him on with Micro Manage, an up-and-coming stayer from the Willie Mullins stable.

This son of Rip Van Winkle has always been highly regarded but connections are wisely taking their time with him and he's had a stop-start beginning to his racing career.

He absolutely dotted up when well backed for a Tipperary maiden in October 2018 (runner-up went on to win at Royal Ascot last year) before returning from an eight-month break to score by 12 lengths on his handicap debut at this track.

The ground might have been a touch on the quick side for him last time after an enforced 434-day absence and he's sure to have improved a great deal for the experience. Jockey Colin Keane can do no wrong and has been booked to ride.
