Tom Segal with three bankers in his Exeter Placepot perm

The three non-handicaps which start the Exeter card shouldn't be too difficult to get through barring accidents and in the opening juvenile hurdle (12.03), it might be worth banking on the filly Ronde De Nuit, who gets a lot of weight.

The 100% RacingTV Profits Back To Racing Novices' Chase (12.33) that follows is quite competitive but L'Air Du Vent shaped well on his chase debut and should come on a lot for the run.

The final banker has to be Whiskey Lullaby in the Start Your RacingTV Free Trial Now Mares' Novices' Hurdle (1.03). She's been second on on all her starts but will appreciate the step up in trip and should have no difficulty hitting the frame.

Things get a lot tougher from there on in with three highly competitive handicaps, starting with the wide-open Watch RacingTV In Stunning HD Handicap Chase (1.33) over 3m.

It's possible to make a case for many but Broadclyst is well handicapped on the pick of his form and shaped well on his comeback run, while the bottom weight Crossley Tender is on a hat-trick and the handicapper might not have caught up with him yet.

The RacingTV HD On Sky 426 Handicap Chase (2.08) might well be the Placepot buster as it's hard to rule out any of the nine runners. Having said that, Keep Moving is on a good mark and Folly Gate is open to plenty of improvement.

Finally, it's worth sticking with the course specialist Trans Island in the Follow @racingtv On Instagram Handicap Hurdle. He comes with risks attached, though, so it might be worth putting in Russian Exile as well.
