The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Thursday

EYECATCHER

Human Nature(5.10 Yarmouth)

Stuart Williams's team are in fine form and he does well at Yarmouth with his runners (had a winner here on Tuesday), so it will be interesting to see if the money comes in for his Human Nature, who is set to be partnered by Oisin Murphy. I've always thought this Kodiac gelding was a better horse over 7f, and although he has mainly been campaigned over a furlong shorter, he hinted that this was his trip when a strong-staying winner over this course and distance last time out. He had Colonel Frank, who reopposes, back in second that day and is just 1lb worse off, so I'd imagine he'll hold up the form. He's well treated on his old form off this mark and he should go close.

DARK HORSE

Elegiac(3.25 Yarmouth)

The improving duo of Magellan and Sharja Silk are likely to be at the head of the market for this staying handicap, which could see Mark Johnston's Elegiac go off a much bigger price than he should. An extremely consistent sort, Elegiac's probably not much better than his mark, but he's sure to run a huge race on quick ground that some of his rivals may not truly enjoy. He does hit a bit of a flat spot in his races, but he stays 1m6f well and Mark Johnston has an impressive record of 6-18 (33 per cent strike-rate, +£66.70 to level stakes) over the last five years at the track.
