BANKER

Blankiedoodie (3.30 Ffos Las)

County Meath trainer John McConnell has his string in fine form of late and he sends three runners across the Irish Sea to Ffos Las on Tuesday, with Blankiedoodie looking his best chance. The four-year-old gelding showed little in five runs last season but his return to action early this month proved how well handicapped he is off a mark of 52. He finished second that day to a subsequent winner and both the fifth and seventh have also scored since. This contest looks a lot easier and hopefully he'll go off odds against, allowing punters to fill their pockets.

STAT ATTACK

Sitar (6.50 Nottingham)

James Fanshawe has enjoyed another good season with his small, but select string and Sitar looks to have a good chance of adding another winner to the tally for the Newmarket trainer. Fanshawe has a 19 per cent strike-rate at Nottingham in the last five years (12-63) and a £1 level stake on all of his runners would have produced a £12.59 profit.

EYECATCHER

Subhaan (8.00 Chelmsford)

Ran a nice race on debut when supported from 9-2 into 9-4 and travelled the best for a long way in the seven furlong affair. However, he found one too good on that occasion in the shape of the Godolphin-owned Golden Goal, who looks a very useful but raw three-year-old. This expensive son of Dutch Art will improve for that run and could be one to look out for in much better company later this year after scoring here.
