The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' horse racing tips at Glorious Goodwood on Friday

BANKER

Jadhlaan (4.45 Goodwood)

Unexposed son of Dark Angel who bumped into smart prospects Project Dante and Korker on debut at York before getting bogged down in testing ground at Haydock. He couldn’t have been any more impressive when sauntering home to lose his maiden tag on his third run and can be excused a below-par performance in the Group 2 July Stakes last time, a race that received a form boost when runner-up Asymmetric went one better yesterday. He looks better than handicap company and a mark of 92 may be exploited.

GOOD THING

Bill Peyto (5.20 Goodwood)

A stamina-laden pedigree suggested that 7f would prove too sharp on his debut but Bill Peyto ran a highly encouraging race to finish second, one place ahead of recent Coral Distaff winner Auria. A Kempton strike and Chester second followed and he is worthy of utmost respect now entering handicap company off an initial mark of 83. The step up in trip to 1m3f will bring about further improvement and providing he can get across from stall 11, Bill Peyto can end day four of Goodwood on a glorious note.
