The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Friday afternoon

GOOD THING

Spectrum Of Light(12.10 Newmarket)

Charlie Appleby, William Buick and Godolphin have a number of chances at the July meeting over the next two days and Spectrum Of Light may just rate their best opportunity to secure a winner. This gelded son of Golden Horn was crying out for a longer trip when placed over a mile on his first two outings and duly obliged when upped to 1m2f last time on the Rowley Mile. The runner-up that day has since scored with plenty in hand (looks useful). Spectrum Of Light should relish the extra two furlongs this afternoon and a mark of 80 underestimates him.

EYECATCHER

(4.10 Newmarket)

Queen Anne second Terebellum will take a lot of beating in this year's edition of the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes but her price is too skinny and there isn't all that much separating her and William Haggas's One Master. This six-year-old barely gets the mile trip, but she has run two of her best races over the distance and looked completely outpaced early on over 6f last time in the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot. There isn't an obvious front-runner in this race and it could well turn into a sprint. If it does, One Master has the best turn of foot.
