One of my five horses to follow this Flat season, Magnetised couldn't have been more impressive when staying on powerfully to score on debut over an inadequate 7f last year at Doncaster, looking a Group performer in the making. He appeared to bump into a good one on his return at Thirsk, but beat the third home by seven lengths and now makes his handicap debut off a mark of 87. That could easily underestimate him and hopefully he can get back to winning ways.

GOOD THING

Qaader(2.15 Goodwood)

Mark Johnston targets his horses at this meeting and I'm a big fan of this two-year-old Night Of Thunder colt, who should have a good chance of notching a second career victory in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes. A decisive winner on debut at Newbury, Qaader caught the eye when he finished an unlucky second in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and didn't seem to handle Newmarket overly well last time when fourth behind the talented Tactical. This looks an easier assignment.
