Funambule Sivola (1.15 Doncaster)

A blatant non-stayer over two and a half miles on his last two starts, Funambule Sivola drops to a trip around two miles for the first time since he was an excellent second to Shishkin in the Grade 1 Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree in April. He is rated 4lb lower than when travelling all over his Peterborough Chase rivals at Huntingdon two starts back, and being outstayed in second by Grade 1 winner First Follow was no disgrace on his return. You can draw a line through his last start on soft at Cheltenham too as he also didn't get home. He looks extremely well treated off 152 and can continue Venetia Williams and Charlie Deutsch's sublime run of form.
