Sweetspots: Mighty run expected from Lavelle’s Micquus

Suzy Smith and Jack Sherwood have individual strike-rates of 26 and 18 per cent at Plumpton. When combining, that increases to 50 per cent and they do so today with Dubai Dirham in the 2.15, Invicta Lake in the 3.55 and King Charlie in the 4.30.

Emma Lavelle is operating at a 14 per cent strike-rate which increases to 100 per cent – three from three – when she applies first-time headgear. Micquus sports a hood for the first time in the 2.50 at Plumpton and the gelding also makes his stable debut. Lavelle is seven from 21, a 33 per cent strike-rate, with such horses.
