He bids to give Sue Smith a fourth straight success in the Watt Fences Yorkshire Grand National Handicap Chase (2.45), and he looks to hold a serious chance of doing so by defying top weight in this six-runner field.

The last two of Smith's winners also carried big weights, including I Just Know, who went off at just 14-1 for the Grand National at Aintree three months later and, while Sharp Response may not prove quite up to that level, he has given a strong indication that he wants a marathon trip.
