BALLYNAGOUR, a general 66-1 shot at the time of writing, is taken to cause a shock in the Randox Health Grand National.

The David Pipe-trained 11-year-old is best fresh in the spring and was only just touched off by Silviniaco Conti in Grade 1 company at this meeting two years ago. He was still travelling well when unseating on unsuitably soft ground in last year’s National and is 9lb lower this time around.

Since 2009, Alan King has scored with just one of his 102 hurdle runners at the Cheltenham Festival and YANWORTH looks a prime candidate to bounce back from last month’s disappointing effort in the Champion Hurdle.
