Martyn Meade has a 40 per cent strike-rate with two-year-old debutants at Newbury. Oisin Murphy rides his Phosphor (1.15) and the jockey has been riding at a 27 per cent strike-rate over the last
fortnight.

Fitting his runners with a first-time hood frequently has the desired effect for Hugo Palmer, who has a 35 per cent strike-rate when doing so. Dubawi filly Jousi has the headgear fitted for the first time in the 3.20 at Newmarket.
