Simply Lucky (Southwell 4.45) has an obvious chance of following up last Wednesday’s comfortable win. Trainer Dan Skelton’s astonishing record with winners returning within a week (20-38) makes him look a good thing.

Carthage looks to have plenty to do in the amateur riders’ seller at Wolverhampton (5.50), but Mick Appleby has an outstanding record in sellers (11-22), Serena Brotherton is 30 per cent at the course and the trainer and jockey won the race last year.
