Newmarket: David Milnes

Bawaader (2.40 Wolverhampton, nap)

The Ed Dunlop-trained grey had a nice introduction at Chelmsford last month and has moved forward from that in his recent work on the Al Bahathri.

Others to follow
Wolverhampton 2.05 Pactolus, 3.15 Island Of Life, 3.50 Dahawi, 4.25 Merhoob.
Kempton 6.30 Bartholomew J, 7.30 Ultimate Avenue, 8.00 Roman River, 8.30 Merchant Of Venice.

North: Colin Russell

Clan Legend (3.20 Ayr, nap)

Thorough mudlark who has not been at his best this season. Has dropped to a fair mark though, so with further rain a bonus, is fancied to get back on the winning trail for his in-form yard.

Others to follow
Ayr 2.10 Carry On Arcadio, 2.45 Another Mattie, 3.55 Derriana Spirit, 4.30 Buster Valentine. 5.35 Ebony Jewel.
Kempton 5.30 Queen Of Kalahari, 7.30 Exchequeur, 8.30 Mont Kinabalu.
Sandown 1.20 Glenpark, 2.25 Chti Balko, 4.10 Mr McGo.
Wolverhampton 2.05 Third Time Lucky, 3.15 Cardsharp, 3.30 Bay Of Naples, 4.25 El Hombre, 5.00 Dommersen.

Lambourn: James Burn

Oh This Is Us (3.15 Wolverhampton, nap)

Smart miler who goes well on the all-weather and for jockey Tom Marquand. Has been in good form and should be right in the mix.

Others to follow
Hereford 1.40 Agincourt Reef, 2.15 Newtown Boy, 4.00 Silent Steps, 4.35 Adrrastos, 5.10 Master Card.
Kempton 7.00 With Good Grace, 7.30 Lethal Lunch, 8.00 Choice Encounter, 8.30 Oneovdem.
Sandown 1.30 Third Wind, 2.25 Call Me Lord, 3.00 Farne, 3.35 Bob Mahler.
Wolverhampton 1.30 Captain Lars, 2.05 Silver Quartz, 3.50 Nubough, 4.25 Corinthia Knight.

West Country: Andrew King

Russian Hawk (1.50 Sandown,nap)

Has given the distinct impression there is better to come and can take this prize with soft conditions in his favour.

Others to follow
Sandown 2.25 Extra Mag 3.00 Silver Forever 3.35 Horatio Hornblower 4.10 Risk And Roll 4.45 The Kings Writ
Hereford 2.0 Saintemillion.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Speredek (2.25 Sandown, nap)

Has made costly errors on his last two runs over fences, but has ground conditions to suit. Potentially very well treated on the switch back to hurdles as long as his jumping holds up.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Solomon Grey (2.25 Sandown)

Produced a personal best when runner-up over further at Kempton eight weeks ago and should not be inconvenienced by dropping back in trip. Can gain deserved compensation.

Longshot: Sam Hardy

Southern Sam (1.50 Sandown)

Can outrun his likely price having been placed on all four runs under rules and carries bottom weight for the in-form Oliver Sherwood stable.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Doctor Phoenix (3.40 Gowran Park)

Having run his best race for some time when runner-up to Cadmium at Naas on his most recent start, the Gordon Elliott-trained 11-year-old will relish the soft ground and can give weight to his rivals in the valuable 2m2f handicap.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

Call Me Lord has figures of 1121 when running at Sandown (337 elsewhere). His one defeat at the track came when beaten a neck in this race last year, and the six-year-old looks to hold decent each-way claims again.
