Redcar Placepot picks: Tom Collins shares his eight-line perm for Monday's card

Redcar's opening 6f maiden (1.00) features six debutants and a selection of juveniles who have shown little to nothing on their previous racecourse outings.

Despite the big field, it looks the perfect race for a banker and course-and-distance scorer Sezaam is expected to comfortably make the frame under a penalty.

In contrast, the following 6f nursery (1.30) is as difficult as it gets for Placepot punters. It often pays to focus on those drawn low in big-field sprints at Redcar and Angels Tale and Enraged, both of whom have shown a modicum of promise, are chosen from stalls three and one respectively.

It could be worth opposing the unbeaten Mujtaba in the 0-95 mile handicap (2.05) as he takes a notable step up in grade and is unproven on the ground. Topweight Last Look and Eagleway are good alternatives.

William Haggas boasts a 25 per cent strike-rate (5-20) with his two-year-olds here in the last five years and is represented by Three Start in the 1m1f novice (2.40). Any improvement from his debut fifth should see him go close.

All Things Bright and Bad Rabbit have strong form claims in the 1m2f seller (3.15), while Shobiz, who has finished in the places on all five of his career starts, is the perfect Placepot horse to end your perm in the closing 7f maiden (3.50).
