Punchestown Placepot picks: Paul Kealy sides with three bankers in his perm

With either moderate racing or very small fields on the Flat in Britain, I'll be sticking with Punchestown for the Placepot, where a big perm is not advised given the shape of the races.

There is little point in taking on or in their respective races, while in the opener (3.40) Rewritetheruleswill surely be hard to kick out of the front two.

He may have been pulled up in the Foxhunters' at Aintree last time, but this competition is several degrees weaker.

The big novice handicap chase (4.15) next on the card is a lot tougher, but does have the look of a well-treated horse, while , who has been shaping well in big fields, could be the pick of Willie Mullins' three for a trainer who has won four of the last five runnings.

has the look of a nicely handicapped mare in the next (4.50), while Salsarettais much better than her Irish National run and has won both times she has completed over fences at the track.

That leaves just the Champion Hunters Chase (6.35), which might go the way of Britain courtesy of .

He spoiled his winning sequence when unseating at Cheltenham, but was only 9-2 there and is a classy sort to be running in these races.

Former Paddy Power Gold Cup winner , who has won the last two runnings of this race and every hunter chase he has run in away from the big one at Cheltenham, is the other selection.
