The best is saved until last on a high-class 11-race card at Sha Tin, where the combination of Zac Purton and the promising Harmony Victory should be followed in the concluding mile handicap (10.45).

The Danny Shum-trained four-year-old, who finished eighth in the Hong Kong Derby in March, won two of his three starts in Brazil and was heading for the top there before export to the Far East.

Beaten only four and a quarter lengths by Furore in the Derby, he shapes as an exciting prospect whose destiny could eventually lie over ten furlongs. However, the pace should be solid in this and Purton will settle him out the back before letting him run home in the straight.

This finale is a cracking contest with Frankie Lor introducing Thinkin' Big, an expensive import bought from Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott in Sydney, and John Size saddling smart Hezthewonforus, who was successful last time following a 315-day break.

Thinkin' Big started favourite but finished down the field in the Group 1 Victoria Derby at Flemington last November. The son of High Chaparral failed to produce the form of his previous start when he took the Group 3 Caulfield Classic in the style of a promising young horse.

Since arriving in Hong Kong, he has trialled twice on the all-weather track and looks certain to appreciate a return to turf. Umberto Rispoli will take the ride.

Rispoli also rides Victory In Hand who could represent value in the 7f handicap (8.35). Trainer Francis Lui saw improvement from the son of O'Reilly on his second start when he finished third in a 6f sprint at Sha Tin and this step up in trip is what he has been crying out for.

As ever, Purton has a strong book of rides, and another worth following is the Shum-trained Young Legend in the other 7f handicap (8.00) on the card.

The five-year-old has gone up 16lb for his last start course-and-distance success, but that should not be enough to stop him winning again.
